Woke up this morning with fierce stomach cramps that ranged from uncomfortable to painful. Wasn’t quite sure why, either. Nothing I ate yesterday was outside the norm, I felt fine when I went to bed, I even got what I’d consider a good night’s rest.
First light: 7:07 AM
Sunrise: 7:37 AM
Daylight: 11 hrs, 35 min
But I woke up, and all I wanted to do was curl back up and do nothing. Didn’t help that the house had gotten chilly overnight – I turned the heat off yesterday, since it was such a nice day. Unfortunately, Jerry sometimes can’t be persuaded to close a door, any door, and I and forgot to turn the heat back on before going to sleep.
Couldn’t do that, though. So, cramping stomach and all, I got dressed and headed out.
Lanesboro yesterday was wonderful. We explored the shops, found a place called Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center that I’m going to have to investigate more thoroughly. Buuuuut… no fall colors. They’d had a storm come through about half a week ago, which took most of the leaves down. Sigh.
So in the pickup yesterday, since I couldn’t nap (darned sun kept finding my eyes), I paged ahead in my sunrise app. I discovered that the 7:48 time of sunrise on October 31st, is the same minute as the sunrise will be on December the 31st for my last one.
I hope that made sense. Doesn’t mean that sunrise will never get any later than 7:48, because it will. But it isn’t going to move much during the last two months.
